Description of Service

The Conscious Art of Living provides highly confidential services addressing emotional and physical wellness and personal growth for individuals and professionals alike. A typical mind-body psychotherapy session makes use of comfortable chairs and cushions for breathwork and meditation and a massage table for integrated bodywork and aromatherapy massage.

Mind-body psychotherapy sessions are 1.5 hours in duration. The first part of the session, approximately ½ hour to 45 minutes, is devoted to personal consultation and breathing meditation to assess your situation and begin to identify beliefs and thought patterns limiting healthy emotional and physical function. Following this you may move to the massage table for up to 50 minutes aromatherapy massage with a custom blend of essential oils. This part of the session looks further into the beliefs and thought patterns 'trapped' in body cells/systems which are leading to emotional/physical concerns. Once these beliefs and thought patterns are brought into consciousness the process of 're-programming' neural pathways for newer and healthier beliefs and thought patterns can begin.

Clients receive educational information and exercises which contribute to the lasting effects of the treatment. Follow-up treatments will vary in terms of service combination depending on the needs of the client and issues that arise. Clients will have an opportunity to ask questions about other alternative healing modalities that might be of interest to them.

Karen also offers hourly integrated body work sessions for those who are simply looking to relieve stress from the physical body.
